Dr. Youjiang Wang, a Professor of Polymer,  Textile & Fiber Engineering, joined Georgia Tech faculty in 1989. His research interests include mechanics of composites, yarns, fabrics, and geotextiles; manufacturing processes and characterization of textiles and textile structural composites; fiber reinforced concrete; and textile waste for concrete and soil reinforcement. He currently is conducting research on the manufacturing of textile fabric reinforced composites, modeling of textile processing dynamics, and utilization of textile waste for concrete and soil reinforcement in construction.
